Our mission, as followers of Christ, is to assist the pastor in performing his duties as the under shepherd of this church and to advise the pastor on matters pertaining to the welfare of the church.

Our purpose is to visit the sick, care for those in need, and attend to the widows, widowers, bereaved and the absentee members.

Our mission, as followers of Christ, is to lead other faithful believers to become Christians and serve Christ.

Our goal and objective is to recognize the needs and respond to those needs by reaching out to the other members of the congregation and community to make them feel welcome in the church, to instill the love of Christ and respect for His word in the hearts of young women, who come to us for council and advice in spiritual and moral matters.

All that a follower of Christ learned is to be passed on to other followers for the “edification of the body” the servant of Christ is expected to lead a life worthy of the calling to which she/he has been called (Eph. 4:1).

The Board of Trustees is dedicated to the stewardship and full accountability of all of the Church’s property and financial assets. Some of the duties and responsibilities as set forth by the Church Constitution and By-laws are as follows:

• Act as legal and financial representatives for the church as required
• Handle procurement, maintenance and disposal of all church property and assets
• Implement reasonable financial documentation (policies, procedures and records) to safeguard assets and/or properties
• Ensure accurate recording of all financial accounts
• Perform an annual inventory of all church property
• Review, execute and be accountable for all monetary expenditures consistent with the annual church budget

The Trustee Board will always strive to act in the best interest of the Mount Olive Baptist Church.

The Senior Choir ministers to the church congregation by bring God’s message through song. They provide music during the third Sunday morning service, outreaching to the sick and shut in at the local nursing home and by request of the Pastor. Through guidance of the Holy Spirit they, sing unto God, sing praises to his name, extol him that rideth, upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him (Psalm 68:4).

The Gospel Tones ministers to the community as well as the metro area by spreading the gospel through song. They provide music during the fifth Sunday morning service. They use their musical talent that God has granted them to minister to the local community as well as neighboring churches, organizations and the local nursing home.

The Men’s Chorus ministers to the world and spreads the gospel music, encourages spiritual growth within its membership, and witnesses to God’s grace. This branch of the Church’s music ministry provides worship music during the second Sunday morning service and at the request of the Pastor, neighboring churches and the nursing home. The members of the Men’s Chorus support the total ministry of the Church.

The Gospel Chorus ministers to the people through music and brings God’s message through song.  The Chorus sings songs that are scripturally based and that edify the listener and glorify God.  They provide the worship music during the first Sunday morning service, and at the request of the pastor and neighboring Churches and organizations.  The members support the total ministry of the church.  By attending rehearsals, they aspire to study to show themselves approved, workers that are not ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15).

The Youth Choir's mission is to join together youth between the ages of four and 25 to sing songs of joy and celebration during the fourth Sunday morning worship, throughout the community and upon request of the Pastor.

In the Youth Choir the foundation to worship in song is laid as we the body of Christ "train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6

The Mission of the Sunday School is to carry out the Great Commission to children, youth, and adults in preparation for a lifetime of Christian holiness.  By following the Word of God in Matthew 28: 19-20, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

Our mission is to conscientiously serve our God, our church, our community and the world.  To make the most of our resources; to help the sick, poor, and the needy everywhere.  To pray for those in need of prayer and to lend a helping hand.  To be God’s channel to bless others.

The Board of Christian Education promotes and encourages the Christian and secular education of the Mount Olive Baptist Church family. This body oversees the Church members’ financial support of education and provides financial assistance, via scholarships and loan, in the educational advancement of individuals. They provide avenues to spiritual growth through workshops and seminars, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and other education endeavors.

The Audio and Video Ministry members work to glorify Jesus Christ by providing quality video and sound support to those speaking, singing or playing music, that the message in video, word or song would be clearly seen, heard and understood. Our purpose is to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ through electronic video and sound reinforcement, as well as in our individual lives.

We pray for the sick and shut-in, the hospitalized, the bereaved, relationships and all needs. I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands without wrath and doubting (1 Timothy 2:8 (KJV).

Our mission is to help support and give care to those in need. In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ (Acts 20:35 NIV).

Our mission is to fellowship together with our senior members encouraging one another in the Lord through outings, special programs and services.

Our mission is to beautify the Church with fresh floral arrangements every Sunday and for special occasions.

The primary objective of the Sisters in Christ is to stimulate interest, increase participation and encourage involvement with other women. This organization is further dedicated to inspire self esteem, unity, togetherness, to build body, soul and spirit. To pray for, to exhort, to encourage spiritual growth and support one another in their time of joy and comfort one another when they are burden. The ultimate intent is to be a Christ centered woman, a mentor for our younger women.

Ministry Mission: Develop and maintain the 'face' and presence of Mount Olive on the internet.

Website Mission: Enhance and expand the presence of Mount Olive to the world by providing a gateway for spiritual growth and an avenue for building connections and increasing Mount Olive's capacity for mission, ministry and membership.

Website Vision: The Mount Olive website is a key resource and avenue for connecting with the community and growing Mount Olive's presence and membership.

To aid our pastor spiritually and financially. To love and look after him. To cooperate with the pastor and to aid him as he is working to build God’s Kingdom. To lead in a combined effort with the church family in giving to our pastor on his birthday, Father’s Day, vacation and specific holidays. To be Christian friends to the pastor and his family and to make his walk easier or to lighten his burdens, as we and he see fit.

The mission of the Mount Olive Youth Department (MOBY) is to commit to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  To provide a place located in the beauty of God’s nature where the youth of Mount Olive can gather to learn and study God’s truths, build God’s kingdom, and have Christian fun.  In sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Mount Olive Youth Department will provide an atmosphere for nurturing individual Christian commitments and developing Christian leaders.

The Men of Mount Olive are to further enhance the advancing of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, as to making disciples. To encourage men to study God’s word, to show themselves approved unto God. To pray for, watch over, and exhort the brethren to live to the glory of God. To thank God for our families, our well being and our salvation.

Our mission is to be a personal representative of Jesus Christ, who sets the tone for the worship service as we greet people when they arrive at church. Our ministry is important, our skills developed, enthusiasm high, techniques efficient, and ready to accept the challenge. Striving for a high standard of excellence, to help, inspire, motivate, add joy to each Sunday morning. We will help people let down their guards, open their hearts, relax their minds for the worship of God and the direction of His Holy Spirit.
